Client Overview

Lofty Heights CIC is a community-focused organization that relies on stable internet connectivity to deliver classes and support students effectively. Reliable wireless coverage is essential for both learners and staff to carry out their work without disruption.

Challenge

When we began supporting Lofty Heights CIC, it became clear that wireless coverage was inconsistent, causing significant issues:

  • Spotty connectivity across the building.
  • Dark spots where there was no signal at all.
  • Areas showing a strong signal but no network connection, creating the illusion of connectivity without internet access

After conducting a wireless survey, we identified two key problems:

  1. Existing Access Points were not fit for purpose.
  2. Poor positioning of the access points, concentrated in one area rather than distributed effectively.

Solution

To resolve these issues, we implemented:

  • Two new UniFi Access Points, strategically positioned for optimal coverage.
  • A secure and segmented wireless network for Students, Staff, and Visitors.
  • A solution that is cost-effective yet feature-rich, meeting the organization’s needs without unnecessary complexity.

Implementation

The project was completed within three weeks, including:
