The start of BNA

We started our journey back in 2020

BNA IT Solutions was founded by Sam and Ben, who between them have worked across a wide range of IT sectors and roles throughout their careers. After years of experience, they felt it was time to take a new direction and build something of their own. But BNA wasn’t created to be just another IT support company.

One of the key motivations behind BNA IT Solutions came from seeing how impersonal the IT industry had become. We felt that this shift wasn’t only diminishing the quality of customer service, it was also impacting the morale, wellbeing, and overall fulfilment of IT professionals.

From day one, BNA was built on two clear goals:

Firstly, to bring personality, warmth, and genuine human connection back into IT support.

Secondly, to create a company where IT professionals can thrive, feel valued, respected, and happy in the work they do.

BNA introduced the concept of the ‘Primary Engineer’, which has since become the cornerstone of our business. Through our Primary Engineers, we aim to close the gap between faceless helpdesks and the real, day‑to‑day IT needs of our clients. We’ve found that this personable, consistent approach builds genuine trust, respect, and long‑term relationships with our customers. In turn, this leads to increased satisfaction on both sides. Customers feel supported, and our engineers feel valued and connected.

My passion for IT started when my Dad's fascination with electronics and technology was passed down to me at a very young age.

This early exposure shaped my path through school and college, where I pursued my goals of getting a better understanding of IT Infrastructure and what is needed to become an IT Professional.

Having started my career as an IT Apprentice at a primary school, it has taught me the importance of having an efficient and secure IT system in part to the tenacity of the future generations rapid adaptability to technology in a modern world!

My interest in IT started back when I was a teenager, building PC's from spare parts, trying to optimize my home setup and generally trying not to break things! That was the point I knew I wanted to pursue IT in my life. From there I studied various avenues of IT, gained multiple qualifications and went on to start my IT career.

The world of IT can seem alien to a lot of people and being able to bridge that gap and explain how it all works to them is what I love most about the job. The constant improvements to systems or setups, whether or not they are even noticeable, brings immense satisfaction.

The best part of IT is being able to make peoples lives easier. That's the ethos I'll always stick to.
